I’m sure that most people that stumble upon this blog won’t know a single thing about who, or what, Jacky Kendricks is.
Let me enlighten you.
Jacqueline Kendricks is my character, my friend though she wouldn’t ever admit it. She has issues with some of the things that happen to her, though honestly, that’s not really my fault, now is it? The first book, DEALING WITH DEMONS (look familiar?), isn’t Jacky’s debut. Well, not really. Since the very first original Jacky book was actually called CHOSEN. It has since seen at least one rewriting sessions, multiple editings, and is in line for another hash of rewriting.
Hence the need for a blog, really. Writers must vent somehow. I, for one, prefer to rant in a public setting, and I have issues getting the words in my head to come out right when they must first travel to the mouth, twist the tongue, and leave the mouth. My fingers much better.
Oh, um, I suppose I should tell you a bit about Jacky and this book of hers, eh? Although, I’ll be as likely to rant about the book I’m working on (fifth, though it will eventually be the fourth. This strange twist in counting will probably be explained in a later rant,) as it will be about DEALING WITH DEMONS, and the horrors of rewriting, revising, editing, polishing, writing query letters, receiving rejection letters, and all the sundry joys of working to become a published novelist.
This should be grand fun.
